With proven star power now at the top of the depth chart, the focus has turned to how the rest of the lineup fits around them.
Looking ahead to next season, Washington 's projected rotation offers a mix of established talent and young pieces still finding their footing.
Washington Wizards' best projected depth chart next season
The Wizards' projected starting lineup reflects their shift toward immediate competitiveness.
Trae Young is expected to run the offense, giving Washington a proven creator capable of elevating those around him.
Tre Johnson slots in alongside him as a scoring guard who can space the floor and take pressure off Young.

On the wing, Bilal Coulibaly provides length, defense, and continued upside, while Anthony Davis brings elite defensive presence and championship-level experience.
Alex Sarr 's versatility allows him to operate as a modern center who can protect the rim and stretch the floor.
The projected bench remains young, but functional. Bub Carrington and Kyshawn George offer guard depth, while Champagnie provides wing defense and energy.

Will Riley adds shooting potential, and Vukcevic gives the frontcourt a developmental option behind Davis and Sarr.
The rotation blends star power with youth, signaling that while Washington is pushing to win now, development has not been abandoned entirely.

What the Washington Wizards need to address this offseason
Despite the aggressive trades, the Wizards still have work to do. They hold a projected top-five draft pick, which could be used to add immediate help or future value.
The clearest need is another big man. With Davis' workload needing to be managed and Sarr still early in his career, frontcourt depth will be crucial over a long season.
While D'Angelo Russell has a player option in his contract, he does not appear to be a priority for Washington.
With Trae Young firmly entrenched as the lead guard, keeping another ball-dominant guard would be unnecessary.

Instead, the Wizards' offseason focus should remain on size, defensive depth, and supporting their stars.
If those pieces fall into place, Washington's win-now gamble could quickly change how the franchise is viewed across the league.
