The Duke Blue Devils host the Belmont Bruins in preseason college basketball action Thursday night. Here's how to watch the matchup from Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The Duke Blue Devils begin their 2026-27 preseason schedule Thursday night when they welcome the Belmont Bruins to Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
The matchup provides an early look at Jon Scheyer's latest Duke team following Saturday's Countdown to Craziness event. It also features an interesting homecoming for Belmont head coach Evan Bradds, who returns to Duke after previously serving as an assistant coach with the Blue Devils.
Duke enters the new season with another talented roster featuring returning players, experienced transfers and highly regarded freshmen. Belmont, meanwhile, begins a new chapter under Bradds after winning 26 games and capturing the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship last season.
Although Thursday's game is officially classified as a preseason scrimmage, both programs have plenty to gain before the regular season begins in November.

Belmont vs Duke Game Overview
Duke enters its fifth season under Scheyer, who has picked up 124 victories through his first four years as head coach. The Blue Devils have also established an impressive home-court advantage, winning 32 consecutive games at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The 2026-27 roster includes returning contributors Caleb Foster, Patrick Ngongba II, Dame Sarr and Cayden Boozer. Wisconsin transfer John Blackwell adds another scoring option after averaging 19.1 points per game last season.
One particularly interesting player to watch is Drew Scharnowski, who transferred to Duke from Belmont. His familiarity with the Bruins adds another storyline to Thursday's meeting.
Bruins Bring Some Intrigue
Belmont has its own intriguing transition underway.
Bradds, a former Belmont standout, takes over the program after spending time on Duke's coaching staff. His first appearance leading the Bruins comes against the very program where he developed as an assistant.
The Bruins finished 26-6 last season and have recorded at least 20 victories in 16 consecutive seasons, establishing themselves as one of the nation's most consistent mid-major programs.
For Duke, Thursday offers an opportunity to evaluate rotations, defensive combinations and the development of its newcomers against an established Division I opponent.
The Blue Devils will continue their preseason schedule against Tennessee on October 20 before visiting Kansas on October 25. Duke officially opens the regular season against Army West Point on November 2.
For Belmont, Thursday represents the beginning of a new coaching era, with a challenging first opponent and a familiar face returning to Cameron Indoor Stadium.
