"One of my favorite stories in the NFL right now," CBS color analyst Ross Tucker said during the broadcast. "He's got some serious quicks. We'll talk about him pretty much as long as he's in (this game). This is a guy that had to pay $100 to try out for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. And this week he was getting reps with the 1s with Joe Burrow . I can't get enough of the Dohnte Meyers story."
Meyers also earned praise from teammate and starting quarterback Joe Burrow after the team's 16-14 preseason win against Detroit at Paycor Stadium.
The Dolphins entered the game with an 0-4 record this season, with an NFL-low 46 points scored this season. The Bengals entered with a 2-2 record.
Bengals receivers Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (neck/groin) were active in Miami . Both were listed as questionable on the team's injury report.
