Marist enters at 0-1 after suffering a narrow 22-21 loss at New Haven in its season opener. The Red Foxes scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams to build a 21-10 advantage, but New Haven scored the final 12 points to complete the comeback. Kade Werner led Marist defensively with 11 tackles, including two tackles for loss, while Jeremy DeCaro paced the ground game with 44 rushing yards.

Franklin Pierce will be making its season debut after going 5-5 in 2025, with Friday beginning a 10-game schedule for the Ravens. The Division II program will face two FCS opponents this season, with Marist followed by a trip to Delaware State in October.
