LaMelo Ball had a brilliant game during the Minnesota Timberwolves' 112-100 win against the Milwaukee Bucks. However, he was not pleased during one particular possession with Bones Hyland, as the player refused to pass the ball to LaMelo Ball, who seemed open and could even have had a three-point shot to increase the lead.
Ball ended the night with 34 points and was the most influential player on the court with a +/- of +17.
Ayo Dosunmu, who started the game, had 19 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists against the Bucks, who have struggled to start the season.
Bones Hyland came off the bench and scored 10 points, showcasing his flashy game. While he has been a vital player on the T-Wolves roster, LaMelo Ball was not happy about something that he did during the second quarter.
With the ball in his hands, Hyland was trying to make a play for the team. However, he had LaMelo on the side and a pass would have been a good option. Instead of doing that, Hyland drove the ball in and ran into trouble trying to force a pass into the corner. He was passed the ball back, but with the Bucks' Jericho Simms guarding him well, Hyland had nowhere to go, and with the clock winding down, he took a wild heave that resulted in no points. Now the Timberwolves were leading 29-21 with 10 minutes left at the time of this possession, so the play did not hurt the team, but the one-time All-Star was visibly frustrated.
LaMelo did not let that play affect his performance, as he kept playing hard to eventually give his T-Wolves the win on the night.
After starting the season 3-0, the Timberwolves suffered a major blow as Anthony Edwards hurt his right knee. They lost 3 of their next 4 games, but with a win against the Bucks, the Timberwolves now have a 5-3 record and will be hoping to continue the momentum and stay in the playoff spots until Ant Man returns to action.
