New Mexico State and Hawai'i will close out Saturday's college football schedule with a late-night matchup in Honolulu. The Aggies enter the game at 1-1, while the Rainbow Warriors are still looking for their first win of the season.
New Mexico State opened the season with a 34-17 loss to Florida State before responding with a dominant 51-14 victory over Mercyhurst. Quarterback Trey Hedden has thrown for 525 yards and four touchdowns through two games, giving the Aggies a productive passing attack heading into their first Mountain West matchup.
Hawai'i, meanwhile, is 0-2 after losses to Stanford and UNLV. The Rainbow Warriors fell 37-27 to Stanford in their opener before being held to six points in a 21-6 loss to UNLV. Quarterback Micah Alejado returns from last season and will look to help Hawai'i get its offense back on track.

Quarterbacks and Key Players to Watch
New Mexico State:Hedden has been the Aggies' primary offensive catalyst early in the season. The Furman transfer has completed 37 passes for 525 yards and four touchdowns through two games. Wide receiver TK King has also emerged as a key target with 172 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Hawai'i:Alejado is back to lead the Rainbow Warriors after helping the team to a nine-win season in 2025. His start to 2026 has been difficult, however, as Hawai'i has scored just 33 points across its first two games. The offensive line also allowed five sacks against UNLV, putting added pressure on Alejado and the passing game.
Hawai'i will be looking to protect home field and avoid a 0-3 start, while New Mexico State has an opportunity to carry the momentum from its Mercyhurst victory into its first conference game of the season.
