Pitt finished 8-5 while going 6-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2025, losing to East Carolina in the Military Bowl. Quarterback Mason Heintschel threw for 2,354 yards and 16 touchdowns as a true freshman last season, and the running game has a pair of strong options in Ja'Kyrian Turner and La'Vell Wright. The Panthers, picked ninth in the ACC preseason poll, enter their 12th season under coach Pat Narduzzi and last won the conference title in 2021.
Miami (Ohio) closed out a 7-7 season with losses in the Mid-American Conference championship game and Arizona Bowl, falling to Western Michigan and Fresno State, respectively. That finish came despite quarterback Dequan Finn leaving the program after nine games to prepare for the NFL draft. Kansas transfer David McComb beat out late-season starter Thomas Gotkowski for the QB1 spot and makes his collegiate debut on Saturday for the RedHawks, picked second in the MAC preseason polling.
Saturday marks the first meeting between the Panthers and RedHawks since 1949, and Pitt leads the all-time series 2-0.
This is a great college football matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
