- Wednesday Dawg Bites Thinks The Biggest Key May Be In The Secondary

Not to rehash the past or anything, but one of the many reasons that Georgia allowed itself to be stunned by Auburn was the fact that the defense was not as strong on the back end with KJ Bolden out of the lineup. With no Bolden, there was a defensive dropoff in the secondary, and it showed.
One of the biggest keys to a win against Florida for Georgia on Saturday? It may very well be Bolden's status. As always – don't expect to know for sure until around kickoff from Atlanta. All of that said, the beauty of Georgia's bye week was to sit back and self-scout – and that included looking in-full at all the other options, if needed to plug in for Bolden in the secondary.
The Banner-Herald has a video visit with Raylen Wilson to talk about what Bolden means to this team's defense.
That's obviously not the only variable Georgia has to worry about. The off week gives Buster Faulkner plenty of time to decide who knows what with one or both quarterbacks on the UF roster – maybe even both at once. Did Gunner Stockton get away with being loose and fast against Alabama and did he pay for it against Auburn? All of that will loom large in Atlanta on Saturday.
Speaking of player health – what about Chauncey Bowens? It sounds like he could be working his way back – but if we're talking a lower-body injury, then that mobility could be limited, at least for now.
Georgia and Florida are competing this week in another metric – between the two schools independent student newspapers. The fundraising drive is simple – whoever raises the most – the loser has to display the winner's color on their masthead the next week. Give is you feel so inclined, and stick it to the Gators.
Herschel Walker scored eight career touchdowns against Florida. Naturally, there is Larry Munson audio of each of them.
