Where does ESPN rank LSU women's basketball's top transfer addition?

LSU women's basketball landed one of the top transfer portal players in the nation. Last month, Kim Mulkey secured a commitment from former Iowa State guard Jada Williams, giving LSU a dynamic backcourt threat to pair with returning stars MiLaysia Fulwiley and Mikaylah Williams.

Just how good is Williams? ESPN ranks Williams as the No. 5 transfer in women's college basketball.

"The Tigers lost point guard Jada Richard to the transfer portal but might have upgraded with Williams. She will be entering her fourth year of college and brings more experience and was the bigger scorer this season (15.3 PPG). Williams' quickness and court vision should be a good fit next to Mikaylah Williams and MiLaysia Fulwiley. Jada Williams' 7.7 assists per game with the Cyclones ranked third in the country," wrote ESPN.

With Williams, LSU might have the best backcourt in the SEC next year. LSU marks the third school for Williams and few guards nationwide can match her experience. LSU has missed a trustworthy veteran at the point guard position in recent seasons, and Mulkey hopes the addition of Williams can propel LSU back to the Final Four.
