- White Sox Lead ALDS 1-0 After 3-0 Shutout of Cleveland Guardians
Kyle Teel is already looking forward to the moment the Chicago White Sox return home for their first playoff game of the season. After helping the team secure a crucial road victory over the Cleveland Guardians, the catcher is eager to experience the energy of a postseason crowd on the South Side.
Chicago opened its American League Division Series with a 3-0 win over Cleveland on Saturday. The result gave the White Sox a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five matchup and brought them one step closer to playing in front of their home fans.

For Teel, the prospect of bringing playoff baseball back to Chicago means more than simply changing ballparks. The young catcher said the opportunity is something he has dreamed about since joining the organization.
"Oh, my gosh. It's going to be awesome. I can't wait to play at home and the fans are just going to be electric. I already know it. I've been dreaming about this moment since I got here. This is just an unbelievable experience and I can't wait," Teel said.

His enthusiasm reflects the significance of the White Sox's postseason run. Chicago has spent recent seasons trying to rebuild its standing in the American League, and meaningful October baseball has been a welcome change for a fan base that has endured several difficult campaigns.
Teel has also had to overcome a challenging season. Injuries limited his regular-season opportunities, but he has remained an important part of Chicago's postseason plans. His responsibilities behind the plate are especially valuable as the White Sox rely on their pitching staff to keep Cleveland's offense quiet.

The White Sox will first need to maintain their momentum in Cleveland. A second victory would put them in a commanding position before the series shifts to Chicago for Game 3.

That is when Teel's excitement could become a reality. The rookie is ready for the noise, the energy and the opportunity to give White Sox fans a postseason moment worth remembering.
