CLEMSON — Clemson football wide receiver Tyler Brown hopes the 2026 season can satisfy his hunger.
Brown , who attended Greenville High School, was Clemson 's top receiver as a freshman in 2023. He led the team in receptions (52) and receiving yards (531) with four touchdowns in 13 games and nine starts to earn Freshman All-America honors.

Yet, his playing time decreased in 2024 after Bryant Wesco Jr. and T.J. Moore both emerged as freshman and Brown battled an ankle injury that limited him to six games. Brown's playing time decreased again in 2025 as star wideout Antonio Williams dominated time in the slot.
The last two seasons, Brown recorded 27 catches for 221 yards in 19 games and five starts.
"I'm hungry, man. I'm still hungry," Brown said after Clemson's 13th spring practice on March 26. "I was hungry when I was playing. I just love football, man."
With Williams departing for the NFL, Brown is likely to return as a starter in 2026, hoping to produce statistically like he did when he was 18 years old.

Brown has commanded starting snaps this spring with starters Bryant Wesco Jr. (back injury), T.J. Moore (lower body) and Cole Turner (lower body) all limited because of injuries. This has allowed him to receive live work and learn offensive coordinator Chad Morris' offense.
It has also helped him get acclimated to all of Clemson quarterbacks who are competing to be the starter in 2026.
Redshirt junior Christopher Vizzina , redshirt freshman Chris Denson , freshmen Tait Reynolds and Brock Bradley, and graduate student Trent Pearman are competing to be the starter.

Brown said he has seen improvement in Vizzina, Clemson's most experienced quarterback and considered the favorite to be the starter. Brown and Vizzina both joined Clemson in the 2023 recruiting class.
"He's more patient and mature in the pocket," Brown said. "Just love to see all these QBs competing this spring, and they're all hungry."
Clemson football 's spring game format 2026
Clemson will have its spring game on March 28 (1 p.m. ET) at Memorial Stadium.
The spring game will not be televised. The only way to watch live is to attend the game at Memorial Stadium. It is free to attend. Clemson will air an hour-long special on ACC Network and Clemson+ later in spring.

Clemson is also returning to its typical split-squad scrimmage. Scoring will return to standardized format, too.
Last season, Clemson split the two teams into offense and defense with a modified scoring system.
This year's game will include 15-minute quarters with a running clock for the final three quarters (except for two-minute scenarios). There will not be a full halftime.
The team will warm up and do some individual and team work prior to the scrimmage. Team warmup will begin around 12:10 p.m., and individual/team work will begin around 12:20.
Clemson also announced that several healthy players will be in alternate color jerseys to designate them as eligible to play for both teams. Offensive players playing for both teams will be in yellow, and defensive players playing for both teams will be in green. These yellow and green jerseys are not indicative of injury.
