DJ Giddens received a special celebration from his Indianapolis Colts teammates after scoring his first NFL touchdown in the team's pre-season finale against the Detroit Lions .
The running back rushed for a six-yard touchdown during Saturday's game, but the score became even more memorable when his teammates left the sideline to celebrate with him.

NFL.com highlighted Giddens' journey after his first NFL touchdown, sharing a video of the emotional celebration with the caption:
"Colts RB DJ Giddens has a journey worth celebrating."
Giddens' teammates clearly agreed, as the entire Colts team came onto the field to celebrate with him after he reached the end zone.
The moment carried extra significance because it was Giddens' first NFL touchdown. The Colts running back was a 0-star recruit out of high school before walking on to Kansas State football . His journey eventually took him to the NFL, with Indianapolis selecting him in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
His six-yard touchdown against Detroit therefore marked another important step in a journey that began with him receiving no stars as a high school recruit.
However, Giddens' touchdown came in a losing cause, with the Lions securing a 25-16 victory over the Colts. Still, it was one of just two carries for Giddens in the game, and his six-yard score gave his teammates a moment they clearly wanted to celebrate with him.
As soon as Giddens reached the end zone, Colts players stormed off the sideline to congratulate him.
For a player who went from being a 0-star recruit and walk-on at Kansas State to a fifth-round NFL Draft pick, scoring his first NFL touchdown provided a moment worthy of a team-wide celebration.
