The chant used by Inter Miami fans is well known in Argentine football. It is usually heard when supporters believe their team lacks intensity or commitment.
The words were direct: “Players, you sons of b——, let’s see if you show some b—, you don’t play with anyone.”
Messi responded with a clear gesture from the pitch, showing he did not welcome the message. The timing made the moment unusual, with Miami closing out a comfortable win.
