- Why Roberto De Zerbi can't ignore Tyrese Hall any longer as striker fix worth a shot
Roberto De Zerbi needs to find a solution to Tottenham Hotspur 's centre-forward woes ASAP.
Dominic Solanke , Richarlison and Omar Marmoush : Tottenham's three senior strikers, are all without a Premier League goal this season.

Spurs' 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa did at least get them off the mark in the goals department thanks to Conor Gallagher and Jan Paul van Hecke .
However, if the Lilywhites wish to avoid a relegation battle, the requirement for Tottenham's strikers to start firing soon isn't optional.
None of that trio looks close to scoring, though, especially the now-effectively exiled Richarlison.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and taking a chance on Tyrese Hall is a roll of the dice De Zerbi can't afford not to make.
How good has Tyrese Hall been for Tottenham's U-21s this season?

Joining Tottenham at under-eight level, Hall has been turning heads in Spurs' youth system for many years.
Now a two-cap Jamaica international, the 21-year-old is on the verge of outgrowing academy football.
Last season saw him enjoy a fruitful loan spell in League Two with Notts County, where he played 39 times and scored eight goals.
He's returned to N17 for the start of this season with the feel of a massively improved player for having that loan stint too.
From just four Premier League 2 games in 2026-27, he's already scored three times and provided three assists.
A recent 3-1 win against Derby on 11 September saw him register two assists and score a goal of his own.
Per FotMob , he's creating 3.25 chances, scoring 0.75 goals and providing 0.75 assists per 90 minutes in PL2 this term.

He's also taking 8.50 touches in the opposition box per game too, all the while wearing the number nine on his back.
That's important to note as well, because Hall is actually more of an attacking midfielder by trade, hinting at his role now being refined.
But what is his contract situation with Tottenham, and why does it show a first-team ascension was always on the cards soon enough?
Roberto De Zerbi now favourite to be sacked next in Premier League as Tottenham odds crash When did Hall sign his latest Tottenham contract?
It's often the case with a lot of young players to sign relatively short deals for their first contract or two.

This works to temper the expectations on the player somewhat, as well as refraining the club from being tied down to them for too long.
So, when a youngster is handed a major long-term deal without having played a minute of senior football, that shows how highly they're rated.
This was the case with Hall, who in May 2024 inked a contract with Tottenham that takes him up to the summer of 2029.
Offering such terms as this proved that Spurs have seen the first-team vision with him for a long time.
So, what better time has their been for Hall than right now to be called upon to show what he can do in Tottenham's senior side?
