Why Is Rodrigo De Paul Not Playing Today for Inter Miami vs. NYCFC?

Inter Miami will play another away game in the MLS as they travel to the Bronx, New York, to face NYCFC .

The MLS Champions will look to get back to winning ways following a 0-0 draw last weekend against Charlotte FC and getting eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 at the hands of Nashville SC .

Inter Miami traveled with most of their star players, like Lionel Messi , but Rodrigo De Paul will not be with them.

The Argentine midfielder played earlier this week in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 match against Nashville at Chase Stadium.

De Paul played the full match against Nashville last Wednesday, but the midfielder reportedly suffered an injury, which led to him missing the match today.

Rodrigo De Paul Injury Update

A report from Michelle Kaufman read that Rodrigo De Paul suffered a contusion on his left leg from a knock sustained during the Nashville game.

De Paul missed Inter Miami’s Saturday morning training session, which sparked questions regarding his appearance against NYCFC today in the MLS.

This is the second consecutive MLS match Rodrigo De Paul will miss for Inter Miami. Last weekend, De Paul was rested as Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano decided to keep him fit for the second leg against Nashville last Wednesday.
