The Minnesota Wild added a new player Monday who knows how to win big games.
They claimed Robby Fabbri off waivers from the St. Louis Blues . Fabbri is a 2019 Stanley Cup champion from his first stint with St. Louis.
The news was reported by NHL insider Elliotte Friedman .
The Blues waived Fabbri on Sunday to clear him off the NHL roster, and he didn't pass through waivers. The Wild decided they wanted him for themselves.

Fabbri is a 30-year old center who has gotten into just 15 games this season for St. Louis. He has one goal and three assists this season.
In his NHL career, Fabbri has played in 457 games with 107 goals and 113 assists (220 points).
He was originally a first-round pick by the Blues, going No. 21 overall in the 2014 NHL Draft.
He played for the Blues into the 2019-20 season, but then he was sent to the Detroit Red Wings , for whom he played until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Fabbri played for the Anaheim Ducks in 2024-25.

He joined the Blues again for this new campaign, and now he's onto a new team after the Blues fell out of playoff contention.
Fabbri will just be a depth piece for the Wild, but that has value for a team hoping to make a deep postseason run.
There's also a mantra this time of year that you can never have too many centers. Fabbri checks that box, too.
