So far in the 2026 iteration of the Summer League, Tonje has been on fire, leading the Celtics with 60 points. According to Justin Turpin of WEEI , the former Badger star could be under consideration for the Celtics' final roster spot.
The former second-round pick played in six games last season for the Atlantic Division side, totaling 15 points, six rebounds, two steals, and two assists.
With the Badgers , Tonje was one of the nation's best scorers. Despite playing just one season in the Big Ten, Tonje averaged 19.6 points and 5.3 rebounds, on a stellar 46.5% field goal rate, eventually being listed on the AP All-American Second Team.
Tonje and the Badgers finished the 2024-25 season with a 27-10 record that was ended thanks to a 91-89 loss at the hands of the BYU Cougars in the round of 32.
