On the next episode of the DC Roundtable Podcast hosted by Tyler Lochte and Ahmed Ghafir diving into the Washington Wizards .
Shortly after last week's episode, news of former NBA guard and Summer League standout Reece Beekman arriving within the Wizards' organization materialized after a four team G League trade gave the Capital City Go-Go the signing rights. The trade also included Kadary Richmond , who was sent away from the organization, while former Wizards guard Malaki Branham was also included and has since receiving a training camp invitation from the Orlando Magic . Could that set the stage for Beekman's next move with the Wizards? With a two way and standard roster spot still left for general manager Will Dawkins to fill, does Beekman make more sense? Should it be considered a foregone conclusion that he ultimately joins the roster?

We break down the Beekman talk once more while also looking at what the Wizards should prioritize with the final roster spot still vacant. Should a veteran presence be the focus, or should the Wizards look for an available player to emerge that can help mitigate a weakness or accentuate a strength without disrupting the potential rotation?
That also leads us to head coach Brian Keefe, who for the first time as head coach of the Wizards, is tasked with building a winning team. With all eyes on the Wizards returning to the postseason for the first time since the 2020-21 season, how long of a leash does Keefe have? More importantly, with the Wizards now holding off on contract extension talks with veteran forward Anthony Davis , is a fast start necessary? What is the biggest question that Keefe will have to answer first? We dissect and talk about how much patience the longtime NBA coach could have as he prepares for the upcoming 2026-27 regular season.
