The Las Vegas Aces lost Game 2 of their playoff series against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday. Now, the A'ja Wilson-led team is just one defeat away from being eliminated from the WNBA playoffs.
Las Vegas did put up a fight in Game 2 and even took a 76-74 lead with 1:36 left to play after trailing by 11 points entering the fourth quarter. However, a 5-0 run in the next 52 seconds after that allowed the Valkyries to regain the lead and pull away for the 83-81 victory .
Wilson exploded for 24 points and seven rebounds in the loss, while Chelsea Gray tallied 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting, along with six assists.
Jackie Young added 14 points on 2-of-4 shooting from deep. She also recorded eight assists and four steals in the loss.

Despite the disappointing result, the Aces still got some positives from the game. Both Gray and Young reached significant milestones on the WNBA playoff leaderboards.
According to the WNBA, Gray climbed to No. 8 in all-time field goals made with 369 after the game, surpassing Seimone Augustus' tally of 362. As for Young, she's now eighth all-time in playoff 3-pointers made with 94, surpassing Kayla McBride's previous mark of 93.
Both Gray and Young have the opportunity to further climb the respective playoff leaderboards when the Aces play the Valkyries once again in Game 3 on Friday.
Gray needs 10 more field goals to surpass Maya Moore at No. 7 and tie Alyssa Thomas at No. 6. Young, on the other hand, can claim the No. 7 spot on the playoff 3-points list with two triples.
Individual accolades aside, though, the Aces also need a win if they want to keep their title defense alive after back-to-back losses.
