Where to watch: FOX/FOX One
The 2026 World Series between Milwaukee and Tampa Bay opens tonight, and we know two things are true about this Fall Classic. The first, that either the Brewers or Rays will claim their first World Series title over the next week. The second, that several former Orioles will also become champions no matter who wins.
The Rays boast a gluttony of former O's, with Cedric Mullins an option in CF, Jorge Mateo coming off the bench as a pinch runner and Tyler Wells and Bryan Baker playing key roles in Tampa's bullpen. Milwaukee has Joey Ortiz as depth infielder and DL Hall operating as an important cog in the Brewers' pen, while also having Gary Sánchez as their backup catcher.
The NL Champion Brewers turn to NL Cy Young favorite Jacob Misiorowski in Game 1 as they try to shut down the Rays' deep lineup. The Miz faced Tampa Bay back at the beginning of the season, putting up a line of 6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB and 7 Ks in an 8-2 Brewers win. The Rays counter with All-Star Nick Martinez, who guided Tampa to wins in both the Division Series and ALCS. Martinez took on the Brewers in his very first start of the year, earning the win with a final line of 6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 0 BB and 3 Ks
