Pavel Šulc has reportedly been identified as a top choice for Phil Parkinson's Wrexham AFC in a move that would smash the club's transfer record.
Various media outlets, including Football Insider, report that Wrexham AFC are preparing a bid for the 25-year-old Czech Republic international as they aim to improve their attacking lineup to help secure Premier League football next season. Šulc is said to have become one of the club's top targets as the summer transfer window enters its final few weeks.

Phil Parkinson's side recently broke their transfer record at the beginning of this month when goalkeeper Anthony Patterson was signed from Sunderland for £8 million.
There is some variation regarding Lyon's valuation, with the French club seeking about £30 million, whereas other reports suggest the Ligue 1 side might value Šulc as high as £35 million. Importantly, no reports have suggested that Wrexham have in fact made an offer of that amount, only that a record-breaking bid is being considered.
Pavel Šulc joined Olympique Lyonnais from Viktoria Plzeň in August 2025 for an initial €7.5 million, with a further €2.5 million potentially due in bonuses, signing until 2029.
The move followed an outstanding spell in Czech football, where he recorded 47 goals and 31 assists in 167 appearances and was named Czech Footballer of the Year. In 2025/26, he scored 15 goals and recorded 10 assists in 42 matches across all competitions, including 11 goals and 3 assists in Ligue 1. Primarily an attacking midfielder, Pavel Šulc can also operate wide, offering movement, creativity and a consistent goal threat from midfield, adding further exciting options to Wrexham and Parkinson.

It is rumoured that both Everton and Aston Villa have shown interest, and that Juventus previously spoke to Lyon about the Czech international.
Everton's manager David Moyes is also said to admire the player as he continues to rebuild his new look younger Toffee's side.
A deal that comes in at the figure of the £30m to £35m that has been reported for Lyon would be a massive increase on Wrexham's present transfer record of £8m and would again show how greatly the club's ambitions have grown.
Having secured three promotions following the well-publicised takeover five years ago, moving from the National League to the Championship, the club are trying to establish itself at this level, with a strong hope of securing Premier League football to complete the Hollywood ending.
