The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays will meet for one of the most exciting Division Series matchups.
The Yankees have arguably been the best team in the American League this season, and the Rays have been too.
Both teams have played extremely well and deserve a chance to make the ALCS. As for the Yankees, this is a team that has a boatload of talent on both sides of the baseball, and one could make a strong argument that from top to bottom, they're a better team than Tampa Bay.
However, as the Rays have proven over the past decade or so, they aren't a team you can count out. The promising sign is that players on the Yankees seem to understand that, including Carlos Rodon.
"They have some good pitching," said Rodon , per the Daily News. "They play good defense. They'll take the extra bag. They're gonna be running. They're gonna be bunting. You don't see that in the game much anymore, but it's worked for them. They're a solid club. They play well, so it should be a good series."
Rodon will be one of the biggest factors in this series for the Yankees, as the dominant left-hander has been one of the better starters in Major League Baseball over the past couple of years.
In his last regular-season outing, he threw 8.0 innings of three-hit baseball, striking out eight against the Rays. If that's the kind of production New York can get from him, it will be in a very good spot.
