Yankees center fielder Trent Grisham exited Friday's game against the San Diego Padres early due to right hamstring discomfort, the team said.
Grisham appeared to have trouble running in for a bloop single that scored a run in the second inning, and immediately went to the trainer in the dugout at the end of the frame.

He did not return to the field in the bottom of the third inning, as Heliot Ramoscame in to play right field with Spencer Jonessliding over to center.
Grisham had walked in his lone at-bat prior to leaving the game against his former team.
The 29-year-old dealt with a right hamstring strain earlier this season, missing nearly three weeks from June 13 to July 2.
Overall across 121 games, Grisham has hit .211 with a .703 OPS, 18 home runs, and 59 RBI.
