The New York Giants made several roster moves on Saturday ahead of their Week 7 road matchup against the Houston Texans.
The team activated cornerback Paulson Adebo from injured reserve (IR). Adebo had been designated for return and practiced earlier in the week after landing on IR on September 18 with a knee issue. His return gives the secondary an experienced option as New York prepares for the Texans.
In a corresponding transaction, the Giants placed linebacker Tremaine Edmunds on IR. The move clears a roster spot while Edmunds recovers.
New York also elevated wide receiver Jalin Hyatt and safety Raheem Layne from the practice squad via standard elevation.
Hyatt, a 2023 third-round pick who spent the season on the practice squad, becomes available for game day along with Layne.
The transactions arrive as the Giants (3-2-1) seek to rebound from a Week 6 loss. Adebo's activation bolsters the cornerback room, while the elevations add depth at receiver and safety for Sunday's contest in Houston.
The official announcement listed no further injury specifics beyond the roster designations and practice timeline for Adebo.
These moves continue the team's ongoing adjustments heading into the second half of the season.
