The New York Giants are activating tight end Thomas Fidone and defensive lineman Sam Roberts from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list after both passed their physicals on Tuesday.
Fidone and Roberts were among three players placed on the PUP list earlier this month ahead of training camp. Defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris remains on the list while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon sustained during organized team activities in May.
Fidone, a second-year tight end selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL draft, suffered a foot injury that ended his rookie season after seven games. He underwent surgery followed by a clean-up procedure that kept him out of most spring practices.
Roberts, signed as a free agent in March after appearing in five games with the Atlanta Falcons last season, missed the entire offseason program recovering from surgery for an undisclosed issue.
Both players are cleared to practice when the Giants take the field on Wednesday at The Greenbrier Sports Performance Center in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The team is in its five-day acclimation period with no pads or live contact.
Robertson-Harris will remain on the PUP list throughout camp and is not expected to return until later in the season.
