New York Knicks guard Josh Hart used the NBA Finals spotlight to twist the knife after Arsenal 's Champions League final loss to Paris Saint-Germain .
Hart has been deep in his own title chase with the Knicks, but his Chelsea loyalty still found room for a football jab. Arsenal's defeat to PSG gave him the opening, and he did not waste it.

The dig worked because it was not random. Arsenal had just fallen short on the biggest stage in European club football, which made Hart's Champions League line feel especially pointed.

Josh Hart mocks Arsenal after Paris Saint-Germain Champions League final loss
Barstool Sports shared Josh Hart's Arsenal dig during the New York Knicks' NBA Finals run, with the Chelsea-supporting guard taking aim after the Gunners' Champions League final defeat to PSG.
"Arsenal is not humble. Have they ever won the Champions League? How long have they been around? They never won that? Okay. London's blue, never red. Up to Chelsea," Hart said.

Hart's timing made the comment sting more. Arsenal did not merely lose a routine match, they missed another chance to win the one European trophy that still sits outside the club's history.
For a Chelsea supporter, that is the easiest pressure point to hit. Chelsea have won the Champions League twice, while Arsenal's search for a first title in the competition continues after another painful final setback.
Josh Hart keeps Chelsea and Arsenal rivalry alive during New York Knicks Finals
Hart's Chelsea support has been public for some time, so the Arsenal shot fit a pattern rather than a one-off joke. He has leaned into the rivalry before, and the PSG defeat gave him fresh material at the perfect moment.

Arsenal's Champions League history explains why the line traveled so quickly. Their 2006 final loss to Barcelona had long been the reference point, but losing another final only sharpened the argument rival fans have used for years.
The funny part is that Hart had every reason to be focused only on basketball. The Knicks are in the NBA Finals, and his energy, rebounding, and defensive work have been central to their run.
Hart still found time to remind Arsenal fans where he stands. Even during the biggest series of his basketball career, Chelsea's rivalry with Arsenal clearly remains close enough for him to enjoy the moment.
