Red Bull New York is already working on ushering in a new era in MLS, following a disappointing season in which they missed the playoffs.
According to a recent report, RBNY has already its first signing for this new stage agreed upon, and it involves a talented forward who has been playing abroad.
Cade Cowell will leave Liga MX side Chivas Guadalajara and return to MLS to represent the Red Bulls on loan, journalist Cesar Luis Merlo reported.
"Cade Cowell is leaving Chivas to return to MLS, where he will play for the New York Red Bulls. The Mexican-American player will be loaned for one year, with a purchase option at the end of the loan," Merlo wrote .
"The New York Red Bulls are looking to bolster their offense with the speed and power of the attacker, who has also been part of the United States national team at both the U-17 and senior levels," he added.
Cowell never managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter in Mexico , and in his 69 appearances for Chivas, he recorded only 12 goals and five assists.

On the other hand, RBNY continues to search for a new coach and was recently linked with none other than Michael Bradley .
It was Sacha Kljestan who stated he would not be surprised if Bradley takes over the team at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
"I wouldn't be surprised to see Michael Bradley get the job or get the opportunity to interview for that job," Kljestan said . "If he were to get hired, I wouldn't be surprised at all."
It should be noted that Jochen Schneider recently stepped down from his post as head of sport, a role assumed by Julian de Guzman . Therefore, changes are expected at the sporting structure level, including signings.
