Broncos tenure: Denver picked Turner-Yell in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft. He played exclusively on special teams as a rookie with 251 snaps . Last fall, he remained a key special teams player (308 snaps) while also emerging as a rotational defensive back (210 snaps). Turner-Yell totaled 34 tackles with one pass breakup and one quarterback hit in 16 games (two starts) last season.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely. Turner-Yell is an important special teams player for the Broncos, so he seems likely to make the team as a backup safety in 2024. Turner-Yell is poised to serve as the team's fourth safety behind Brandon Jones, Caden Sterns and P.J. Locke .
