- Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland set to return vs. Pistons, according to report
They're one of the hottest teams in the NBA having won 15 of 19 games and now the Cavaliers are getting healthy at a pivotal moment of the season.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported on X, formerly Twitter, that point guard Darius Garland would return Wednesday when the Cavs host the Pistons .
Garland has been out since Dec. 14 with a fractured jaw. His return comes after Evan Mobley got back Monday from dealing with an injured knee.
While the duo's absence was expected to make the Cavs season more difficult, the team has survived and some might say thrived. They entered Tuesday as the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, sitting a half game out of third.
With both players' coming back, it allows them to get reintegrated for the stretch run of the regular season in the hopes of making a run in the playoffs. Prior to the injury, Garland was averaging 20.7 points and 5.9 assists per game
