Was it the lineup, the call, the throw or the (lack of) catch?
Whatever it was, there are plenty of questions about the Indianapolis Colts ' last offensive play of the season.
Facing fourth-and-1 at the Houston 15 and trailing 23-17 with less than a minute to go, the Colts took Jonathan Taylor (188 rushing yards) off the field and called a pass to reserve running back Tyler Goodson . Gardner Minshew 's throw was a little behind Goodson, who couldn't haul it in.
Houston yielded a safety with 1 second left and the game ended 23-19. The Colts' loss dropped them to 9-8 and ends their season .
Colts coach Shane Steichen defended the play-call after the game.
"Felt good about (Tyler) Goodson in that situation," Steichen said.
Goodson and Minshew shared the blame after the game.
"I felt like a failure," a teary Goodson said. "I know I'm not a failure, but that's what I felt like. ... I'll never do that again."
Said Minshew: "I wish I'd put a better ball on him."
