The Detroit Lions are once again the favorites to win Super Bowl 59.
After a dominant, exclamation point win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 18, the Lions are the favorite to win the Super Bowl at +280, according to BetMGM , meaning a $10 bet would net you $28, plus your $10 back.
The Lions, who entered the season at +1200 to win the Super Bowl, are trailed by the Kansas City Chiefs (+350), Baltimore Ravens (+600), Buffalo Bills (+600) and Philadelphia Eagles (+700).
The Lions had already set a franchise-record for wins in a season entering Sunday with 14, but still had everything to play for in Week 18 against a red-hot Vikings squad. The Lions played like the season was on the line and the Vikings didn't, with Dan Campbell's squad leaving no doubt in an impressive 31-9 victory at Ford Field.
With the win, the Lions locked in the 1-seed, a bye for the wild-card round and homefield advantage until the Super Bowl, which will be a massive advantage for the Lions to play in front of an electric Ford Field crowd.
WHAT'S AHEAD: Who will Detroit Lions play in NFL playoffs 2025? Predictions for wild-card round
It's not the first time the Lions have been the Super Bowl favorites this year, but their win over the Vikings seems to have gone a long in propelling them back to the top spot over the Kansas City Chiefs, who are back-to-back defending Super Bowl champions.
It's an impressive feet for the Lions to even be in consideration for the top Super Bowl odds considering the laundry list of injuries that they've lacked up over the season. From Aidan Hutchinson to Alim McNeill to Carlton Davis III to David Montgomery , the injuries have just never seemed to stop coming for the Lions, and they got a few more on Sunday.
Rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold left the Vikings game with a foot injury, offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler exited with a leg injury and defensive lineman Pat O'Connor also was ruled out with a calf injury.
The Lions will have the week off alongside the Chiefs, so likely will enter their divisional-round matchup against whoever is the lowest seed remaining still as the Super Bowl favorite.
