Well, it seems as though the Carolina Panthers were right to trade wide receiver Diontae Johnson after all.
Johnson, now a member of the Baltimore Ravens , has yet to find a place in his new digs. Since being shipped away back on Oct. 29, the former Pro Bowler has tallied just a 5-yard reception on only 39 offensive snaps over four games.
Yesterday saw Johnson record the proverbial doughnut in Baltimore's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles , as he played zero snaps in the team's 24-19 loss. That inactivity prompted an inquiry for Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, who was asked about Johnson on Monday.
"I'm gonna to have to wait," Harbaugh replied . "There's some moving parts there that we're gonna have to figure out and explore and just see where we're at. It's the best I can do, in fairness to everybody."
Yikes.
The Panthers acquired Johnson from the Pittsburgh Steelers this past March. He played in seven games for Carolina before being sent off in a deal involving a late-round pick swap for the 2025 draft.
