- Four Class of 2025 prospects Missouri football is targeting on early signing day
There has been two in, two out for Missouri football leading into the first day of the early national signing period.
Ahead of Wednesday, when recruits can put pen to paper and sign for their prospective teams, Mizzou flipped the commitments of two players and lost two players in the 72 hours leading up to the biggest day on the recruiting calendar.
Four-star running back Marquise Davis flipped his commitment from Kentucky to Mizzou on Sunday, and four-star wide receiver DaMarion Fowlkes dropped his Pittsburgh commitment to join coach Eli Drinkwitz's team.
Going the other way: Five-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers and three-star running back Jamarion Morrow both dropped their Mizzou commitments and have now committed to Texas A&M.

After all that movement, Missouri now has 17 players committed to its Class of 2025. The class is ranked No. 24 in the country, per the recruiting service 247Sports' rankings. That is four spots lower than before all the flips.
But the Tigers might not quite be done.
Here are four players Missouri appears to be targeting on the first day of (or before) the early signing period:
Missouri is in the running for defensive end and No. 42-overall national prospect Javion Hilson entering signing day.
The Cocoa, Florida , native visited the Tigers on the final weekend of the regular season. He was previously a Florida State pledge but decommitted in September.
Hilson penned a letter to Florida Today, which you can read here, detailing his recruiting process and listing his top five schools. The letter published early Tuesday, and did not have Missouri among his five schools in consideration.
But then ...
On Tuesday afternoon, On3 recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong predicted that Hilson will choose Mizzou when he announces his decision Wednesday. If that proves to be the case, it would be a major pickup for Drinkwitz and his staff at the buzzer.
The Tigers also are chasing Haastrup, an edge rusher out of Houston, at defensive end in this cycle.
As it stands, Mizzou currently has Hermann, Missouri, defensive end Daeden Hopkins committed to its next class. Former blue-chip recruits Williams Nwaneri and Jaylen Brown both just completed their first regular season with the Tigers at the position.
Haastrup is the No. 24 edge rusher in his class, per 247Sports, and the No. 270 prospect nationally. He will announce his college decision on Wednesday, with a top six of Oregon , Texas Tech, Southern California, Florida State, Michigan and Missouri.
The defensive end will make his college decision at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Mizzou appears to be chasing another safety for its Class of 2025, and if it adds another by the time the early signing period closes, it is likely to be Butts, who will make his final decision Wednesday.
Butts has been committed to North Carolina since June, but the recent firing of head coach Mack Brown appears to have opened the door for the Tigers to take a peek. The safety visited during MU's game against Arkansas .
Mizzou currently has two defensive backs — but just one safety — committed to its next class. East St. Louis product Charles Bass is expected to sign Wednesday. Butts could make it two newcomers at the position.
If you're looking for a good sign when it comes to recruiting, it doesn't get much better than Haygood's day Saturday.
While on a visit with Mizzou during the Tigers' game against Arkansas on Saturday, the three-star running back announced via X that he had decommitted from Boise State . Haygood is a Sachse, Texas, product and is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 51 running back in his class.
Mizzou lost Morrow at running back and flipped Davis. With Haygood, the Tigers will have two tailbacks committed to their Class of 2025, taking the long way around to get there.
Haygood will announce his decision at 8:45 p.m. CDT.
