- Georgia football sack leader snubbed from NFL combine
Georgia Bulldogs defensive end Chaz Chambliss is one of the most notable 2025 NFL combine snubs in the country. Chambliss along with defensive back Dan Jackson and tight end Ben Yurosek all did not receive invitations to the combine.
Fourteen Georgia Bulldogs did receive combine invitations. Chambliss is a surprising exclusion because he tied for the team lead in sacks in 2024 with 6 1/2 sacks (tied with Jalon Walker ). Chambliss recorded 41 tackles in 2024 and was very productive as a senior, but it was not enough to earn a combine invitation.
Chambliss along with Dan Jackson and Ben Yurosek all will focus on training for Georgia's pro day, which is expected to be sometime in March. Jackson got to showcase his talents in front of NFL draft scouts at the Senior Bowl .
Chambliss briefly participated in the Shrine Bowl before exiting with a hamstring injury. It is unclear if he would have been fully healthy for the combine.
The 2025 NFL draft will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 25-27. Chambliss, Jackson and Yurosek all hope to hear their names called in April.
