The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted another Penn State skill position player in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday, wide receiver Parker Washington, with the selection the team received by trading running back James Robinson to the New York Jets last year.
The Jags took Penn State tight end Brenton Strange in the second round.

Washington (5-foot-9, 204 pounds) is projected as a slot receiver. He also returned kickoffs and punts for the Nittany Lions but didn't score in the return game.
He caught 46 passes for 611 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games last season. Washington had one standout game — 11 receptions for 179 yards against Ohio State.
He missed the last three games with an ankle injury.
"I'm excited for the opportunity ... knowing a guy going into the building," Washington said about remaining teammates with Strange. "Penn State is a big family. We spent a lot of time getting extra work in and hanging out. He's my guy."
Washington comes into an offense that has a veteran wide receiver group led by returning players Christian Kirk and Zay Jones, and the addition of Calvin Ridley through free agency. But there might be room for a slot receiver with the departure of Marvin Jones Jr. for Detroit.
"I feel like I can help this offense a lot and I'm excited to work with those guys," he said. "I'm ready to embrace that and see where my role is."
Washington caught 146 passes for 1,920 yards and 12 scores for his career. His best season came as a junior in 2021, with 64 receptions for 820 yards and four TDs. He ranks 10th all-time in Penn State history for career receptions and caught at least one pass in each of the 32 games in player.
Washington was a four-star prospect from Sugarland (Texas) Travis. He is a cousin of former Jaguars backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs and another cousin, Tyler Tolbert, is in the Kansas City Royals organization, currently playing for their AA team in Arkansas.
