- Key wide receiver to miss Alabama football vs Vanderbilt Saturday
Alabama football will be without a key wide receiver against Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon.
In Friday's SEC availability report, Alabama reported wide receiver Kendrick Law as out for the Crimson Tide 's road game against the Commodores . Kickoff is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Saturday at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
Alabama listed linebacker Jeremiah Alexander as probable.
On Wednesday's SEC coaches teleconference, Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said Law was "day-to-day" with a lower body injury.
"He's trying to do everything he can to get out there," DeBoer added.
Shortly after the start of the second quarter, Law hobbled off the field after scrambling on a play where quarterback Jalen Milroe tossed the ball back to the wide receiver for a potential pass play. During his postgame press conference, DeBoer called Law's ailment a "lower-body injury."
"I don't know what he'll be," DeBoer said Sept. 28 following the Georgia contest. "But it's unfortunate because I thought he really had a great week or two of practice and kept building too, a lot. He was really juiced up before the game.
Law finished with one catch for 19 yards against Georgia and worked as the Crimson Tide 's primary perimeter run blocker.
In four games, Law has two catches for 41 yards and a touchdown. He also has two carries for six rushing yards.
