Ohio State is rolling in the College Football Playoff national title game. And no one is enjoying it more than LeBron James.
The Akron native, and known Ohio State fan, is in Atlanta for the game between the Buckeyes and Notre Dame for college football's national title.
Several times during the first half of the broadcast on ESPN cameras cut away to James celebrating in a suite at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
At one point he was even doing part of the the O-H-I-O arm motions and pointing to fans in the stands to do the other.
In the lead up to the game, James narrated Ohio State's CFP championship game hype video. The Lakers have an off day in their NBA schedule on Monday after playing the Clippers Sunday night at the Intuit Dome.
"It's always been us. It is and it will always be Ohio Against The World," LeBron said in the video. "Our story is unfinished. Our story has one last chapter to write: the Chapter of Champions."
At halftime of the game Ohio State held a 21-7 lead over Notre Dame.
Among those in the suite with James is business partner Maverick Carter, who is consulting with a group to launch a rival basketball league to the NBA.
Before the game James predicted a big win for the Buckeyes:
Did LeBron James go to college?
James famously made the jump straight from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron to the NBA. The Cleveland Cavaliers took him first overall in the 2003 NBA draft. But James has said in the past that if he did go to college it would have been at Ohio State.
