Colorado 49, Utah 24
While there were some positives to take away from a second half where Utah showed a bit of life on offense, it wasn't enough as the Utes made too many mistakes to upset Colorado.
The Buffaloes, even on a day where their offense wasn't at its best for stretches against the Big 12′s top defense, put up 405 yards of total offense to earn the win.
Utah, meanwhile, had 272 yards of total offense, with 189 of those yards coming after halftime.
Colorado became the first team to score 49 or more points on Utah since 2014.
The Utes briefly made it interesting, cutting a 35-16 deficit to 35-24 with an impressive 75-yard touchdown drive and a two-point conversion.
Utah then forced its third turnover on the ensuing possession and had the chance to make it a one-score game. Isaac Wilson 's third interception of the game, though, ended that threat, and Colorado added two late touchdowns to account for the final score.
Shedeur Sanders completed 30 of 41 passes for 340 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, while the Buffaloes also scored three touchdowns on the ground.
Isaac Wilson completed 21 of 40 passes for 236 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

2:22 — Colorado scored on a short field after Utah failed to convert a fourth and 13 deep inside its territory.
Travis Hunter waved his way to a 5-yard touchdown run one what looked initially like a failed trick play before the two-way star, who looked like he might be dropped for a 10-plus yard loss, cut through the Utah defense for the score. Colorado 49, Utah 24.
4:32 — That should do it.
Colorado marched 63 yards in five plays after the Utah turnover, scoring on a 4-yard Charlie Offerdahl run. Colorado 42, Utah 24.
Drelon Miller caught a 49-yard pass on a broken coverage to get the Buffaloes into scoring position.
5:54 — Isaac Wilson tried to do too much, and he threw his third interception of the day — a costly turnover after Utah had momentum building.
Wilson scrambled around for several seconds before throwing to the sideline, where he was picked off by D.J. McKinney.
7:00 — Utah forced a third takeaway, as Tao Johnson forced a fumble on Will Sheppard and Lander Barton recovered at the Utah 45. Can the Utes capitalize?
8:34 — Utah had its most impressive drive of the game, finished by a 3-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Lohner.
The Utes went for two, and it was ended successfully after Isaac Wilson threw backwards to tackle Spencer Fano , who ran in for the conversion. Colorado 35, Utah 24.
Wilson completed 7 of 7 passes for 72 yards on the drive, including passes of 23 and 25 yards to Carsen Ryan to kickstart the possession.
13:58 — The Buffaloes struck again, as Shedeur Sanders hit Drelon Miller on a next-level throw for a 47-yard touchdown where Miller broke multiple tackles to score. Colorado 35, Utah 16.
Colorado was facing third and 12 on the play — that capped a seven-play, 75-yard drive for the Buffaloes.

The one-play drive was set up by a 17-yard punt return from Singer.

This one hasn't turned into a blowout yet, thanks to Utah's defense.
The Utes have forced two takeaways, which both led to short field goals, but the Utah offense has gained just 83 yards of total offense. Isaac Wilson threw for 62 yards passing in the first half while completing 8 of 20 throws, and he was also picked off.
Colorado has also had its struggles at times moving the ball, with 166 yards, thanks to a mostly standout performance from Utah's defenders. Shedeur Sanders completed 18 of 25 passes for 165 yards in the first half, with most of those completions coming on the Buffaloes' late-half touchdown drive.
The Utes also gave up a 76-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter.
