TAMPA, Fla. — Alabama football is expected to have a key piece of its offensive line available at the ReliaQuest Bowl vs. Michigan .
Crimson Tide left tackle Kadyn Proctor is expected to play against the Wolverines, Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer confirmed Monday. Proctor did not practice for the Crimson Tide Friday, but was seen on the practice field with the first-team offensive line Saturday ahead of the ReliaQuest Bowl.
"We're expecting him to play," DeBoer said Monday.
Proctor was held out for the first two games of the 2024 season after sustaining a shoulder injury during warm-ups before the season opener against Western Kentucky .
Proctor was the Crimson Tide's starting left tackle for the remainder of the 2024 regular season, allowing two sacks, seven hurries and 11 pressures on 606 snaps per Pro Football Focus.
Wilkin Formby, who started each of the first two games of the 2024 season at right tackle, would likely have been in line for the ReliaQuest Bowl start.
Elijah Pritchett started at left tackle against Western Kentucky. Tyler Booker started for Alabama at left tackle against South Florida , with Geno VanDeMark starting at left guard.
Alabama will be without starting safety Malachi Moore , who Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer said would miss his final collegiate game with an injury.
Alabama will kick off against Michigan in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl at 11 a.m. CT Dec. 31 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
