- Missouri football live transfer portal news: Tracking who joins, leaves Mizzou in portal
Welcome to the madness.
The college football transfer portal is open.
Missouri football has several positions of need entering the 20-day window, which opened Monday, Dec. 9 and will remain open through Wednesday, Dec. 28.
There will be one more opportunity for players to transfer ahead of the 2025 season, coming between April 16-25.
At the top of the Tigers ' current shopping list: Quarterback; offensive line; linebacker; defensive back; and specialists. Mizzou likely won't limit itself to those positions, but those are the spots highest on the priority list.
The Tribune will keep track of every incoming and outgoing player on this page over the course of the next three weeks and beyond:

The Tigers landed a commitment from Georgia transfer edge rusher Damon Wilson II on Tuesday, the former Bulldog announced via his Instagram account. Wilson is the 17th player to commit to Mizzou in the winter transfer portal window, and among the most high-profile to date.
Wilson entered the transfer portal Jan. 6, shortly after the Bulldogs' College Football Playoff run ended. He immediately shot up into the upper-echelons of the best-available players in most national rankings.
On3's industry rankings place the edge rusher as the No. 5 player at any position in the portal in this window. The recruiting service also has him as the best defensive end in this cycle. For more on Wilson's commitment, click the link below:

Missouri dipped back into the transfer portal Saturday, Jan. 11, with the addition of Colorado State tight end Vince Brown. He is the Tigers' 16th addition of this window.
Brown, a Matteson, Illinois native, started his career at the JuCo level with College of DuPage, where he caught 20 total passes for 373 yards and four touchdowns as the team won back-to-back NJCAA national titles.
The tight end, who is listed at 6 foot 6 and 230 pounds, then transferred to Colorado State, where he was mostly a backup in 2023. Last season, Brown played 13 games and caught 24 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns.
Mizzou is losing veteran Tyler Stephens to eligibility this season in the tight ends room, but is expected to return starter Brett Norfleet and main reserve Jordon Harris.
Luke Bauer, Missouri's starting punter in 2023 and 2024, has entered the transfer portal as a graduate student, according to a report from 247Sports' PowerMizzou on Thursday. He has averaged 41.8 yards per punt over two season.
Mizzou added Stanford punter Conner Weselman in December. There are currently no other punters listed on the Missouri roster for next season.
Missouri football announced the signing of UNLV transfer safety Jalen Catalon on Sunday morning, bringing a third-team AP All-American and first-team All-Mountain West defensive back from the 2024 season onto the roster.
He is the Tigers' 15th addition out of the transfer portal in this window, and perhaps the most experienced addition to date.
Catalon recorded five interceptions for the Rebels last season, which was the fourth-most in the FBS, and he returned one for a touchdown. The safety recorded 96 total tackles, which was second among all UNLV players, and had two sacks as part of five tackles for loss.
He started his career at Arkansas in 2019 and transferred to Texas in 2023 before heading to UNLV.
Shortly after Missouri announced the signing of Washington State cornerback Stephen Hall on Saturday, freshman MU corner Jaren Sensabaugh announced that he is entering the transfer portal. He is the sixth Mizzou rookie to enter the portal after one season on campus.
Sensabaugh appeared in one game as a rookie on defense and did not make an appearance on special teams, according to PFF. He was a three-star prospect in the Class of 2024, according to 247Sports' composite rankings, and joined the Tigers from Nashville, Tennessee.
Missouri football landed Washington State transfer cornerback Stephen Hall on Saturday morning, per a report Saturday morning from On3's Hayes Fawcett. Hall is the 14th player the Tigers have acquired out of the transfer portal in this window, and the first corner.
Hall, listed at 6 foot, 199 pounds, spent two seasons at Washington State after transferring from Northeast Mississippi Community College, where he played the first three years of his career.
While in Pullman, Washington, Hall featured in 24 games with 16 starts. He recorded five pass deflections, 6.5 tackles for loss and 70 total tackles. The Memphis native returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown against Portland State.
Missouri football signed West Virginia transfer offensive lineman Johnny Williams IV on Saturday, which marks the team's 13th signing of the winter portal window and its third from an offensive lineman.
Williams, listed at 6 foot 7, 315 pounds hails from Macon, Georgia, and has played 17 games over the course of two years with the Mountaineers . He is likely to have three remaining years of eligibility.
He is likely to line up at one of the offensive tackle spots for Mizzou, which is a position of need with both the Tigers' starting right and left tackles moving on from the program after this season. Williams was a three-star prospect in the Class of 2023.
Missouri football has found its transfer quarterback, securing a commitment from Penn State transfer Beau Pribula on Sunday, per a report from Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. The Tigers have actively been trying to find a potential replacement for graduating starter Brady Cook , and Pribula will be joining the competition.
Pribula reportedly visited the Tigers on Tuesday, and according to 247Sports national recruiting writer Matt Zenitz, the quarterback had drawn interest from Ole Miss, UCF, Iowa and Indiana in addition to Mizzou.
The Tigers can get two years of eligibility out of Pribula, who spent the past two seasons at Penn State as a backup to Drew Allar , who recently announced he is returning to Happy Valley for the 2025 season. Pribula redshirted his freshman year.
Over the past two seasons, Pribula has taken 94 carries for 571 yards, which is more than 6 yards per attempt, and 10 touchdowns.
The main question Pribula will face will concern whether or not he's ready to run an offense by himself, as he's only attempted 56 career passes. He has completed 66.1% of those attempts, throwing for 11.5 yards per completion and recording nine passing touchdowns and one interception.
Missouri has added its first specialist of the December window, signing Stanford punter Conner Weselman on Sunday morning. Weselman was the Cardinal's backup punter in 2024, but played all 12 games in 2023. He averaged 42.2 yards per punt, dropping three of his 22 boots inside the 20-yard line. He has a career-long punt of 59 yards.
Mizzou does not currently have a punter from its 2024 campaign expected to return next season. Luke Bauer is expected to run out of eligibility; Orion Phillips has transferred to Utah; and each of the Tigers' other reserves are currently in the portal.
Missouri football secured its 10th signing of the December transfer portal window on Saturday morning, when Appalachian State edge rusher Nate Johnson announced he is transferring to the Tigers via a post to his X account.
Johnson was voted as a freshman All-American by The Athletic in 2023, after recording 7.5 sacks and a forced fumble in his rookie year. Now, over 25 career games in Boone, North Carolina — the former head coaching stop of Mizzou's Eli Drinkwitz — Johnson has recorded 10 sacks and 12 tackles for loss as part of 77 total tackles.
The edge rusher, listed as an outside linebacker by the Mountaineers but likely to play defensive end in Mizzou's 4-2-5 base formation, is listed at 6 foot 5, 240 pounds, and has two remaining years of eligibility.
Missouri football landed its second commitment in a matter of hours Friday — both from offensive lineman — as Wake Forest transfer lineman Keagen Trost, who announced he was pledging to the Tigers via his personal X account.
Trost follows Michigan transfer Dominick Guidice, whose transfer to Mizzou was announced approximately two hours earlier.
Missouri will be the fourth stop of Trost's career.
The offensive lineman started out as an unranked commit to Morgan State in 2019 out of Kankakee, Illinois. After one season at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference school, he moved to Indiana State, where he spent four seasons and played 22 games with 12 starts. Trost then moved on to Wake Forest, where he played all 12 games in former coach Dave Clawson's slow-mesh offense, which is essentially a slow-moving run-pass option system.
Michigan transfer offensive lineman Dominick Giudice announced Friday evening that he has committed to Missouri football, announcing his decision via his personal X account.
Giudice, who originally committed to Michigan as a defensive lineman in the Class of 2021 out of Freehold, New Jersey, played 15 total games for the Wolverines, making the switch to the offensive line later in his career.
Per PFF, Giudice appeared in seven games for Michigan last season between the offensive line and various special teams. He had four starts at center and played another game as a sixth offensive lineman, so he likely will be able to play any of the interior spots.
Giudice is listed at 6 foot 4, 310 pounds, and has two remaining years of eligibility.
Missouri football landed a commitment from Virginia Tech transfer safety Mose Phillips III on Thursday, per a report from On3's Hayes Fawcett. Phillips is the second safety to commit to the Tigers in the December transfer portal window, and the seventh player overall.
Phillips, an Antioch, Tennessee native, has played 25 games with 13 starts for the Hokies since committing in the Class of 2023 as a three-star prospect.
He took over starting duties this season, 65 total tackles, four pass breakups, one interception, one sack, 3.5 tackles for loss and one forced fumble. He is listed at 6 foot 2, 193 pounds.
Per a report from PowerMizzou of 247Sports, Missouri freshman wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield is expected to enter the transfer portal. If and when Crutchfield officially announces his intent to transfer, he will become the fifth member of the Tigers' highly ranked Class of 2024 to do so.
The wide receiver appeared in two games as a rookie and did not catch a pass. He is a Pine Bluff, Arkansas, native and was heavily recruited by Arkansas during high school, which may be a landing spot to watch.
Missouri football secured a commitment from Louisiana-Monroe freshman running back Ahmad Hardy on Wednesday evening, two days after the Tigers lost their own freshman tailback Kewan Lacy to Ole Miss.
Hardy, who was the Sun Belt Conference freshman of the year this season, announced his commitment to Mizzou with a post to his personal X account.
Listed at 5 foot 10, 205 pounds, Hardy rushed for 1,351 yards and 13 touchdowns as a rookie en route to a first-team All-Sun Belt nod. He played his high school football at Lawrence County High in Monticello, Mississippi.
Missouri has its fifth addition of this transfer portal cycle: Northwest Missouri State defensive end Langden Kitchen.
Kitchen, a Huntsville, Missouri native, recorded 5.5 sacks as part of 85 tackles for loss at the Division-II level this season. He is listed at 6 foot 7, 270 pounds and attended Westran High.
Per a report from 247Sports national college football writer Matt Zenitz, Penn State backup quarterback Beau Pribula is currently on a visit to Missouri. Zenitz is reporting that it is Pribula's first visit.
Pribula garnered some national attention after entering the portal on Sunday, a little less than a week before PSU's first-round College Football Playoff matchup.
"The current NCAA postseason model creates a challenge for student-athletes," he wrote. "The overlapping CFB playoff and transfer timeline has forced me into an impossible decision."
Pribula has backed up Drew Allar, who announced he is returning for the 2025 season, since his true freshman season in 2022. He has some Brady Cook about his game, as the Nittany Lions have often used him as a situational wrinkle in their offense, often as a runner. Pribula has completed 66.7% of his 56 career pass attempts, and has thrown for nine touchdowns and one interception. He has rushed for 571 yards and 10 touchdowns on 94 career carries. He will have two remaining years of eligibility.
Kewan Lacy entered the transfer portal Monday morning, and by day's end he was committed to SEC rival Ole Miss.
There's some familiarity there: Lacy was pretty much an Ole Miss signee during the tailback's original recruitment at about this time last year, until Mizzou swooped in at the 11th hour and secured his commitment. As it turns out, however, that is only for one year, as Lacy is making the move to Mississippi after all.
Lacy had an opening with Missouri to be a core part of the lineup next season, as Marcus Carroll and Nate Noel both are out of eligibility. But, he's moving south to Lane Kiffin's Rebels.
It's the triple crown for the Tigers.
Missouri has landed West Virginia transfer linebacker Josiah Trotter, who confirmed the news with a post to his X account. Trotter, whose father was an NFL Pro Bowler, had 93 total tackles and an interception for the Mountaineers last season. He was a three-star commit in the Class of 2023.
He is the third player to commit to the Tigers out of the portal on Monday alone, following Nebraska linebacker Mikai Gbayor and NIU safety Santana Banner. He is the fourth overall player Mizzou has picked up out of the portal in this window.
Missouri football has signed Nebraska transfer linebacker Mikai Gbayor, the team announced Monday via its official X account. Gbayor was the second defensive player to commit to the Tigers out of the transfer portal of the day, following Northern Illinois safety Santana Banner earlier in the day.
Linebacker, like safety, is an area the Tigers needed to target in this transfer portal window.
Gbayor, who just finished his junior campaign with the Cornhuskers, has one remaining season of eligibility. He played in all 12 of Nebraska's regular-season games, starting 11 and recording 49 total tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack and three batted passes.
The linebacker, who is listed at 6 foot 2, 230 pounds, hails from Irvington, New Jersey has played in 25 games over the course of his collegiate career after committing to Nebraska as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2021. He seemingly visited Mizzou on Thursday.
Perhaps the most surprising news of the transfer portal cycle so far for Mizzou: Freshman running back Kewan Lacy plans to enter the transfer portal, per a report from On3's Hayes Fawcett on Monday morning. Lacy appeared in five games as a true freshman for the Tigers, meaning he burned a redshirt and will have three years of eligibility remaining. With Nate Noel and Marcus Carroll soon to be out of eligibility, the door was open for Lacy to have a prominent role in the lineup next season.
But, it's one in, one out for the Tigers early this week.
On the other side of the ball, Northern Illinois safety Santana Banner confirmed to the Tribune that he is transferring to the Tigers. He is the second player to commit to Mizzou in this portal cycle, following Mississippi State wide receiver Kevin Coleman.
Banner just completed his redshirt freshman season with the Huskies, meaning he will have three remaining years of eligibility in Columbia. He had an interception and four pass breakups for NIU this season, playing in all 12 games. He also forced a fumble and recorded 54 total tackles. Mizzou is likely to chase more defensive backs in the portal this cycle, with depth quickly thinning.
Missouri football freshman defensive end Jaylen Brown transferred to South Carolina, he announced Saturday. The 6-foot-6 edge rusher is likely to have four remaining years of eligibility, and will be able to suit up on Faurot Field when the Gamecocks come to Columbia, Missouri, next fall.
Punter Orion Phillips announced his transfer to Utah on Saturday. He was the backup to Luke Bauer in 2024, but the Tigers do not currently have a punter slated or expected to return next season.
USC transfer quarterback Miller Moss committed to Louisville over Missouri on Saturday, which means the Tigers will now have to look elsewhere for their QB addition. Moss visited Mizzou early in the portal cycle, then went on a visit to the Cardinals. It appeared to be a two-team race for his signature.
The top names available in the portal with starting experience are currently California's Fernando Mendoza, Liberty's Kaidon Salter and Duke's Maalik Murphy.
Missouri football landed Mississippi State transfer wide receiver Kevin Coleman on Friday, per a report from On3's Hayes Fawcett. That marks the Tigers' first transfer portal addition of the December window, which opened Monday. Coleman was a third-team All-SEC selection by the league's coaches this year.
The wide receiver caught 74 passes for 932 yards and six touchdowns for the Bulldogs this season. Coleman played his high school football at St. Mary's High in St. Louis.
Missouri freshman quarterback Aidan Glover has entered the transfer portal, he announced Friday evening. Glover was a three-star commit out of Memphis, Tennessee, and did not appear for the Tigers during his rookie season. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.
Glover was buried down the depth chart during his true freshman year. When Mizzou turned to a third-string quarterback — and likely fourth-string, had Sam Horn been available — at Alabama in October, preferred walk-on J.R. Blood came into the game over the freshman.
"After lots of prayer and discussions with my family and coaches, I have decided to enter the transfer portal as a true freshman with 4 years of eligibility," Glover posted to his X account. "I am excited about exploring new opportunities to continue my athletic and academic journey."
Missouri is a finalist to land junior college defensive lineman Seven Cloud, who has played at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas, for the past two years. Cloud listed 10 schools among his potential landing spots, with a long list of SEC teams in the mix. Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Boise State, Western Kentucky and Missouri are all in contention to land the JUCO prospect.
Cloud, listed at 6 foot 4, 300 pounds, was originally committed to Georgia out of high school as a three-star prospect out of Atlanta. He recorded 5.5 sacks as part of 9.5 tackles for loss this season for Butler CC.
Williams Nwaneri, a five-star defensive end and the No. 8-overall prospect in his recruiting class, is transferring to Nebraska, per reports from On3's Hayes Fawcett on Thursday. Per reports, Nwaneri entered the transfer portal on Monday with a "do not contact" tag, which indicates his decision for his next college stop was already settled.
That's Nebraska, where his high school head coach Jamar Mozee is on the staff as a senior football assistant.
Nwaneri made waves when he committed to the Tigers out of Lee's Summit North High near Kansas City in August 2023 as the top-ranked defensive lineman in his class. He pledged to MU over a stern challenge from Oklahoma.
He appeared in four games, which means he preserves a redshirt and four years of college eligibility. He took 38 snaps as a Tiger, with a bulk of that coming in second-half relief appearances in blowout wins over Murray State and UMass. He played three snaps in MU's win over Auburn, where he registered a pressure, and played five snaps against in MU's loss at South Carolina.
He is the first player to officially transfer out of the Tigers' program in this cycle.
Missouri football freshman edge rusher Jaylen Brown intends to enter the transfer portal, he confirmed to the Tribune on Wednesday. The news was first reported by On3.
Brown is the second Mizzou defensive end revealed to be entering the portal in as many days, following a Tuesday report that Williams Nwaneri is expected to enter the portal.
The Tigers' depth at the position is beginning to thin, with Nwaneri and Brown expected to be on the way out and senior edge rushers Johnny Walker Jr. and Joe Moore III out of eligibility at the end of the season.
Two defensive players picked up offers from Missouri, according to posts on their respective X accounts.
One: Kansas freshman edge rusher Deshawn (DJ) Warner, who was the Jayhawks' top prospect in the Class of 2024, has received interest from the other half of the Border War rivalry. Warner played sparingly as a rookie in Lawrence.
Two: Appalachian State sophomore outside linebacker Nathan Johnson, who was a freshman All-American in 2023, has picked up an offer from the Tigers, coached by former Mountaineers head coach Eli Drinkwitz. Johnson has 10 sacks across his two seasons in Boone, part of 12 tackles for loss and 77 total tackles in 26 games.
Northern Illinois transfer safety Santana Banner will visit Missouri this upcoming Saturday, he told the Tribune on Tuesday.
Banner was part of the NIU secondary that helped the Huskies take down Notre Dame early in the 2024 season. He recorded 54 tackles, four pass breakups, one forced fumble and had an interception this year. He just completed his redshirt freshman season.
The safety, listed at 6 foot 3, 202 pounds, was a three-star prospect in the Class of 2023 out of Mountain View High in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He is originally from Flint, Michigan, and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
On3 recruiting reporter Hayes Fawcett reported Tuesday morning that Williams Nwaneri — a five-star recruit, the top defensive line prospect in the Class of 2025 and one of Missouri football's highest-ranked recruits of all time — is expected to enter the transfer portal.
Nwaneri joined the Tigers in the summer as the No. 8 prospect in his class, but played sparingly as a true freshman. He played in four games, meaning he preserved a redshirt.
Per PFF, Nwaneri took 38 snaps across the 2024 campaign.
As a reminder: Entering the transfer portal does not necessarily mean that the player will definitely leave. All players who enter the database can also withdraw at any time.
Sophomore Mizzou safety Phillip Roche has officially entered the transfer portal, per a post Monday evening to his X account.
The Tribune first reported on Nov. 28 that Roche was no longer with the team. It was unclear at the time whether his intent was to transfer. That was cleared up as of Monday.
USC transfer Miller Moss is expected to make his first official visit since entering the transfer portal to Mizzou, per a PowerMizzou report. Moss is expected to be in Columbia on Tuesday and Wednesday. He also reportedly will visit Louisville this week.
Moss is currently On3's sixth-best available player in the transfer portal, according to the site's 2025 rankings. He is the No. 2-ranked available QB.
Missouri wide receiver Mekhi Miller has entered the transfer portal, the junior announced via X on Monday.
Miller, who hails from Overland Park, spent three seasons with Mizzou, but spent most of his career behind Luther Burden III as the backup slot receiver. He caught 22 passes in three seasons for 311 yards and one touchdown.
Backup MU linebacker Brayshawn Littlejohn announced Sunday that he intends to enter the portal.
The Gaffney, South Carolina, native played 13 total games for Mizzou over two seasons, mostly appearing on special teams.
Mizzou placekicker Blake Craig is the only Missouri kicker or punter expected to return in 2025, as a wave of Tigers special teams players have announced their intention to enter the transfer portal.
Backup punters Orion Phillips and Will Safris both posted to their social media accounts that they intend to transfer. Starting punter Luke Bauer is expected to graduate and leave the program at the end of this season.
At kicker, backups Nick Quadrini and Brady Boehm also both will enter the portal.
Mizzou has made multiple special teams offers over the past week.
Charlotte kicker Stephen Rusnak, who was perfect on 11 field goals and all his PATs in 2024, has received a Missouri offer. The same goes for Kennesaw State punter Jacob Ulrich and Colorado School of Mines punter Blake Doud, who was his conference's special teams player of the year this season.
