AJ Dybantsa has cited Kevin Young’s coaching as a major factor in him choosing to play basketball at BYU. Now, Young is sharing all about his past year spent with the highly-touted prospect, who may be the top pick in the NBA Draft next month. While attending the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, BYU’s head coach appeared on ESPN Tuesday afternoon to discuss Dybantsa and more.

The NCAA Tournament just became available to just about everyone and their dog. Well, that’s a little exaggeration, but the NCAA did expand its March Madness field from 68 to 76 teams earlier this week. Retired BYU basketball coach Dave Rose, who worked 40 years in the business, likes the idea of more teams.

Young was already under contract for 6 more years after coaching the Cougars to the Sweet 16, but was previously the highest-paid assistant coach in the NBA.

BYU rallied from a 22-point hole to beat Clemson 67-64 on Tuesday night at the Jimmy V Classic.
