- OHSAA boys basketball state semifinal score updates: Buchtel ends Bishop Ready's unbeaten season
DAYTON— The Buchtel boys basketball team made its return to the Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournament Friday afternoon a successful one. The Griffins were 60-50 winners over previously unbeaten Columbus Bishop Ready .
The Griffins were last here in 2019, so this is an entirely new experience for this group of players. They arrived for the Division II state final four as the lone public school of the four. The Griffins won the Akron City Series regular-season and postseason championships . Tested by a tough regular-season schedule, which took them outside of Ohio for some games, the Griffins are now 22-6.
