The Carolina Panthers have now traded for and traded away wideout Diontae Johnson in a span of just over seven months. But what do they have to show for it?
Numerous reports from Tuesday afternoon have indicated that Johnson will reportedly be traded to the Baltimore Ravens. The deal will involve a pick swap between the two teams—with Baltimore receiving the former Pro Bowl pass catcher and a 2025 sixth-round pick while Carolina gets a 2025 fifth-round pick.
Oh, and that's not all.
According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic , the Panthers will also be paying down most of Johnson's remaining salary. The Ravens, per Zrebiec, will owe the 28-year-old approximately $625,000 for the rest of the season—leaving the Panthers to foot around $3 million.
So, what has this latest move done to Carolina's upcoming draft board?
Here is an updated look at the team's current picks for the 2025 NFL draft:
First round
Second round (via Los Angeles Rams)
Third round
Fourth round
Fifth round
Fifth round (via New York Giants)
Fifth round (via Baltimore Ravens)
Seventh round (Own or via Arizona Cardinals)
Seventh round (via Kansas City Chiefs)
Well, at least that first pick is looking pretty good.
