A wide receiver is headed to Jacksonville , and it's not Calvin Ridley — yet.
According to a report by NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Jacksonville Jaguars are signing former Buffalo Bills receiver Gabriel Davis to a three-year deal. The deal cannot become official until March 13 at 4 p.m.

Davis' deal once signed will be for three years, $39 million with incentives that can get him to $50 million, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini. ESPN's Adam Schefter indicated later that the deal includes $11 million at signing.
Davis, who was drafted by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, has had success in the league as a deep-threat player. He has averaged 16.7 yards per reception in four years. In addition, Davis has accounted for 2,730 yards on 163 receptions and 27 touchdowns while playing with quarterback Josh Allen .
Davis accounted for 45 receptions for 746 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023. His best season came in 2022 when he posted 48 receptions for 836 yards and seven touchdowns.

Now Davis will head to Jacksonville to play with another ascending quarterback, Trevor Lawrence .
The Jaguars need help at receiver with Calvin Ridley hitting the open market during the legal tampering period in the NFL. Jacksonville has yet to re-sign Ridley, as of Monday afternoon, but that could change quickly.
Davis, 25, gives Jacksonville a big-bodied downfield receiver who can win at the point of attack downfield, giving Jacksonville an 'X' receiver on the line of scrimmage. A downfield player who can win jump balls and create yards on improvised plays has been missing within Jacksonville's offense for quite some time.
A player that can consistently get downfield and make plays has, too. The Jaguars have not had a receiver average more than 16.5 yards per reception since 2017 when Keelan Cole averaged 17.8 on 42 receptions.

Davis, 6-foot-2, 225 pounds has familiarity with the Jaguars, who signed center Mitch Morse from Buffalo earlier on Monday. The team also has Davis' former wide receivers coach Chad Hall, who was with Buffalo from 2017-22 as an assistant and receivers coach.
