The Tigers (6-2, 5-1 ACC) received 513 points and no first-place votes. They are the third-ranked ACC team, finishing behind No. 4 Miami (1,194 points) and No. 15 SMU (603).
This was Clemson's first conference loss this season, which snapped its six-game winning streak. It looks to bounce back on the road against Virginia Tech (5-4, 3-2) on Nov. 9 (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN) at Lane Stadium.
One other ACC school made the top 25: Pittsburgh (178 points) at No. 23.
ACC teams that did not make the coaches top 25 poll but received votes were Louisville (38) and Syracuse (24).
Oregon remained at No. 1 in the poll, earning 1,349 points and 53 first-place votes. Georgia stayed at No. 2 with 1,267 points and one first-place vote.
