Westbrook Scores 41 In Victory Over Boston
Saturday's eight-game slate provided plenty of highlights, including Russ Westbrook pouring in 41 points in Boston while Jayson Tatum racked up 32/15/5 for the Celtics , Ja Morant dominating the Lakers and Mitchell Robinson registering a career-high.
After recapping the important storylines from Saturday, we'll wrap up the Dose by taking a look at players that are facing injury issues for Sunday's games.

Saturday's Standouts:
When we drafted Mitchell Robinson
in the second or third round back in October, this is what we were expecting! Mitch Rob erupted for a career-high 23 points (11-of-16 FGs) to go along with 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 29 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday. Despite continuing to come off the bench, Robinson is averaging nearly 27 minutes a night over the Knicks
' last seven games. During this seven-game stretch, he's averaging 12.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.1 steals, while shooting 78% from the floor. Yes, 78%. The only knock on Mitch Rob is his FT% has dipped this season, and he was just 1-3 on Saturday.
Trae Young was at it again on Saturday night. The sophomore sensation scored 25 points, dished out 15 assists (vs. just two turnovers) and grabbed four rebounds. Incredibly, that was his sixth career game with at least 25 points and 15 dimes, which is the most among all players in league history before turning 22 years old. In fact, Luka Doncic is the only other sub-22 years old with multiple such games. John Collins did his thing as well, finishing with 24 points (on 9-of-15 shooting), ten boards, four assists, three triples, two blocks and a steal. De'Andre Hunter chipped in 22 points on 8-of-13 attempts with four rebounds and a career-high-tying six 3-pointers in 38 minutes. Kevin Huerter also had a solid game, finishing 19 points (6-of-10 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, a career-high with eight assists, three steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
C.J. McCollum has done everything in his power to keep the Blazers afloat with Damian Lillard (groin) sidelined, but it hasn't been quite enough. McCollum poured in 35 points (14-of-26 FGs) and tacked on five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 39 minutes in a loss to the Hawks on Saturday. Since Dame went down, CJ is averaging 31.8 points, 5.4 boards and 9.0 dimes, but McCollum is 1-6 without Lillard this season. Hassan Whiteside continues to post monster numbers as well. He racked up 21 points (9-of-14 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), 13 rebounds, one steal and three blocks.
Domantas Sabonis just missed his fifth triple-double of the season on Saturday, as he finished with 18 points (8-of-13 FGs), 13 rebounds, nine assists, two steals and one blocked shot in 42 minutes. One of the league's unappreciated young up-and-comers, Sabonis finishes February with a stellar per-game average of 19.8 points (on 56% shooting), 11.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists. T.J. Warren scored a game-high 30 points on an ultra-efficient 14-of-20 shooting performance and added three rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
Andre Drummond (left calf) was back in business on Saturday night. After missing two straight games due to the calf issue, and posting underwhelming stat lines since his trade to Cleveland, fantasy GM's got a vintage Drummond performance on Saturday. He poured in 27 points (shooting 12-of-21 from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 from the stripe) to go along with 13 rebounds, four assists, four steals and one swat in 36 minutes. Here's hoping he can build on that momentum going forward. Kevin Love also had a flashback to more productive days, finishing with 20 points (6-of-9 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), 12 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one three-pointer in 37 minutes. It's the first time he's had at least 20/10/7 since October 26th, the second game of the season.
The shorthanded Grizzlies had lost five straight games since the All-Star break and badly needed a win Saturday night, but we're hosting the mighty Lakers. No worries, as Ja Morant put the team on his back and carried them to victory. The electrifying rookie scored 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting, matched his career-high by handing out 14 helpers, and added six rebounds, one steal and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes. Jonas Valanciunas also played a crucial role for Memphis, tallying 22 points, 20 rebounds, two assists and no turnovers in 31 minutes. That's 55 rebounds in just over 24 rebounds for JV, who ripped down a career-high 25 boards on Friday.
Russell Westbrook 's incredibly efficient and effective winter continued on Saturday, as he poured in 41 points while shooting 16-27 from the floor. He also tacked on eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes. Russ has now scored 20+ points in 30 straight games. He averaged over 33 points in February and shot 55% from the field and 40% from behind the arc. Robert Covington has also been posting prodigious numbers since landing in Houston. RoCo registered a career-high 16 boards to go along with adding 16 points, four triples, one steal, three more blocks and four 3-pointers in 39 minutes.
Jayson Tatum remained red hot on Saturday night, stuffing the stat sheet with 32 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 45 minutes. Tatum is shooting with unmatched swagger and playing the best ball of his career over the last few weeks. He finished February as the fifth player in the storied history of the Celtics franchise to average more than 30 points in a calendar month. (The other four are Paul Pierce, Larry Bird, Isaiah Thomas and John Havlicek.) Jaylen Brown has served as a spectacular sidekick for JT of late. Brown scored 22 points with five rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 44 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday. Brown and Tatum have now combined to score at least 50 points in five straight games. Not to be outdone, Marcus Smart had 26 points, five rebounds, seven assists, four steals and five 3-pointers in 45 minutes, and Daniel Theis added 8/15/3 with three blocks.

On the Radar:
RJ Barrett
was on fire early on in the Knicks win over the Bulls, as he tallied 17 points in the first half while shooting 7-for-8 from the floor and 3-of-3 from downtown. However, his teammates didn't look to feed him in the second half, and RJ finished with 19 points (8-10 FGs), four rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday. He also missed all four of his free throws. Taj Gibson
(back) returned to action, and the starting lineup, and scored 17 points with eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one turnover in 19 minutes on Saturday.
Zach LaVine scored a game-high 26 points on Saturday but needed 25 shots to get there (10-of-25 FGs). Lavine was also just 2-of-5 from the FT line, while adding three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 38 minutes. Wendell Carter Jr. (right ankle), who had been sidelined since January 6th, finally returned to action, tallying six points (1-of-5 FGs), nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 18 minutes. WCJ will remain on a minutes limit until he works his way back into game shape. After an all-time rookie record of three straight games with 30+ points off the bench, Coby White (back) made 7-of-17 from the field for 22 points with two rebounds, three assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 29 minutes on Saturday. Denzel Valentine , who had missed each of the Bulls' previous seven games, returned to the lineup and scored eight points with three rebounds and two 3-pointers in 10 minutes.
The Heat utilized a terrifically balanced attack to beat the Nets on Saturday. Kendrick Nunn scored a team-high 21 points with four rebounds and three 3-pointers in 26 minutes. Goran Dragic had a solid double-double (19 points, ten assists and four 3-pointers) in 32 minutes off the bench. Bam Adebayo , of course, did it all. He tallied 16 points (7-fo-12 FGs), 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 32 minutes. Jimmy Butler had 16/6/8.
Caris LeVert (right hand contusion) popped up on the injury report Saturday afternoon but was able to suit up Saturday night. However, he played with a wrap on his shooting hand and converted just six of his 17 FG attempts en route to 15 points with three rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes. Brooklyn's Kyrie-less offense continues to flow through Spencer Dinwiddie , who scored 25 points with four rebounds, 12 assists and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes. Jarrett Allen was 7-of-8 from the field for 17 points with 11 boards in 28 minutes.
Victor Oladipo (left ankle sprain) was a game-time decision coming in but was cleared to play Saturday night. 'Dipo logged 29 minutes and tallied 19 points (7-of-15 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, three steals and two 3-pointers. Malcolm Brogdon ended his evening with 22 points (9-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), one rebound, eight assists and one steal in 35 minutes. Myles Turner had ten points, ten boards and four blocks.
The entire Lakers squad, including their two superstars, were flat in a shocking 105-88 defeat to the struggling Grizzlies on Saturday night. LeBron James (groin), returning from a one-game absence, finished with scored 19 points, eight rebounds, ten assists, one steal, one block, five turnovers and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes. He was just 8-of-18 from the floor. Anthony Davis had only 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes. The Lakers play the back end of a back-to-back on Sunday vs. the Pels.
Trey Lyles made the most of an unexpected opportunity on Saturday and finished with a team-high 20 points (8-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, two assists, four steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 40 minutes. LaMarcus Aldridge (shoulder) was unavailable, and Jakob Poeltl (knee) logged just four minutes due to a first-quarter injury. As a result, Lyles saw a season-high 40 minutes of action.
Damion Lee handed racked up a career-high eight assists to go along with 20 points, five rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes. With Steph Curry (hand) expected to miss at least two more games, Lee has a chance to show out a bit more. Dragan Bender drew a start on Saturday and totaled 13 points (5-of-10 FGs), nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, three blocks and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes. Andrew Wiggins (upper back spasms) returned to action and had 17 points (6-of-20 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks.
Injury Tracker:
Damian Lillard
(right groin) did not play on Saturday against the Hawks and also told reporters that he would not join Blazers in Orlando for Monday's game. It will be the sixth game he has missed due to the groin strain. Dame did say he is getting multiple rehab sessions during his days in Portland. Gary Trent Jr.
started again on Saturday and finished with 15 points but no rebounds or assists in 29 minutes.
Tristan Thompson (left knee contusion) was ruled out of Saturday's game vs. the Pacers. Thompson had started each of Cleveland's previous two contests at center in place of Andre Drummond (calf). It's unknown if the Cavs are merely resting Thompson on the second night of a back-to-back (he scored 13 points with five rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday), or if his knee is bothering him enough to force him out of an additional game or two. Cleveland's next game is Monday vs. Utah.
Reggie Bullock
(illness) and Dennis Smith Jr.
(concussion) did not play Saturday vs. the Bulls. Bullock belongs on waivers in all formats, as he has seen his playing time and role reduced after the All-Star break. Smith has been placed in concussion protocol and will also miss Monday's matchup with the Rockets. With Frank Ntilikina
(groin) and Elfrid Payton
healthy, Smith doesn't have fantasy value even if he were cleared.
Kemba Walker
(left knee) did not play Saturday night vs. Houston, but was able to work out with the team Saturday morning. Coach Brad Stevens told reporters that Kemba is expected to get in some 3-on-3 on Sunday. If he's cleared for practice Monday, a return Tuesday is possible. Stay tuned.
Draymond Green (left knee soreness) was ruled out for Saturday's game against the Suns. With the Warriors in tank mode, they will continue to give Green nights off when he is less than 100%. Juan Toscano-Anderson started Saturday, finishing with five points (2-of-5 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 31 minutes. Eric Paschall had 25/3/4 in 33 minutes off the bench.
Anfernee Simons (left ankle sprain) was ruled out in the fourth quarter of Portland's loss to the Hawks. He sprained the ankle in the third and had 10 points in 16 minutes before exiting.
Jordan Poole (right ankle) did not play Saturday against the Suns. It's unfortunate timing for Poole, as he'd have been able to gobble up plenty of playing time with both Ky Bowman (ankle) and Stephen Curry (hand) sidelined. The Warriors stated on Saturday that Bowman has a lateral sprain in his right ankle after undergoing an MRI. The team says his injury will be monitored over the next few days.
Danny Green (right hip) was ruled out Saturday against Memphis. It's just the second game the rock-solid vet has missed all year long, and the previous DNP was on the second night of a back-to-back. Alex Caruso replaced Green in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies and finished with nine points, two rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes.
Tyler Herro (right ankle soreness) sat out on Saturday versus the Nets. He hasn't played since Feb. 3rd, but is reportedly making progress in his rehab and headed in the right direction.
Jakob Poeltl (bruised right knee), who was starting in place of LaMarcus Aldridge (shoulder), lasted just four minutes into the first quarter on Saturday. Poeltl knocked knees with a defender and limped back to the locker room, only to be ruled out a short while later.
Injury Notes for Sunday's Games:
Luka Doncic
(left thumb) is questionable Sunday against the Wolves. Luka initially suffered the injury Wednesday night and was still visibly bothered by the thumb, which was wrapped, on Friday. The Mavs game on Sunday tips at 3:30 pm EST in Minnesota, so they won't have a shootaround. We can expect our next reliable update at around 2:00 when coach Rick Carlisle speaks to reporters pregame.
First, the Warriors announced Saturday morning that Stephen Curry (left hand) had been ruled out of Sunday's game vs. the Wizards. Considering that Shams Charania of The Athletic reported earlier in the week that Steph would suit up Sunday, that was disappointing enough. The Warriors said Curry continues to make good progress in his recovery from a broken left hand suffered on October 30 and remains "on schedule for a return to play at some point in March." And that he is scheduled to practice with the Santa Cruz Warriors on Monday. Then, speaking with reporters after practice on Saturday afternoon, coach Steve Kerr said Curry wouldn't be available for Tuesday's game in Denver either, as Curry would still be in Santa Cruz when Golden State leaves for their road trip. Kerr did say Thursday's matchup against Toronto is "more likely," as the Warriors are still gauging Curry's progress.
Both Fred VanVleet (left shoulder pain) and Serge Ibaka (sore right knee) are listed as questionable for Sunday against the Nuggets. FVV suffered his injury on Tuesday night and was unable to Friday against the Hornets. Norman Powell started in his place on Friday and tallied 22 points, three assists and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes. Ibaka also sat out Friday night's loss to the Hornets. Chris Boucher logged 16 quiet minutes off the bench.
J.J. Redick (left hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday against the Lakers. JJ tweaked his hamstring on Friday and did not return. This is certainly concerning because Redick missed multiple weeks back in January due to a similar left-hamstring issue. E'Twaun Moore , Josh Hart , and Nicolo Melli will be the primary beneficiaries in JJ's absence.
Khris Middleton (neck soreness) is listed as probable for Sunday's game vs. the Hornets. Middleton, who has been incredibly efficient and effective all season, missed Friday's blowout victory over against the Thunder, but it appears it will be just a one-game absence. Donte DiVincenzo will get bumped back to the bench.
Both Christian Wood (right foot sprain) and Thon Maker (right ankle) are questionable Sunday against the Kings. Wood, who has been a beast since the Andre Drummond trade, scored 19 points and looked terrific in 35 minutes on Friday, but may have sprained his foot in the process (or possibly in practice on Saturday?). If both Wood and Maker are unavailable on Sunday, Sekou Doumbouya and John Henson would see a significant uptick in playing time.
De'Aaron Fox (right lower abdominal tightness) and Cory Joseph (right heel contusion) are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Pistons. Fox played Friday night after missing one game and didn't appear to suffer any setbacks. Joseph usually has value as a streamer candidate if Fox is ruled out, but he's dealing with a minor injury of his own. If both players are unable to suit up Sunday, Yogi Ferrell and Bogdan Bogdanovic would be asked to run the offense.
Bruce Brown (left knee contusion) has been ruled out Sunday against the Kings. This will be the third straight game on the shelf for Brown. After 14 points and six dimes on Tuesday, Brandon Knight scored a season-high 19 points with two rebounds, four assists, one steal, and a season-high five 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Suns on Friday.
Noah Vonleh (right ankle sprain/strain) is questionable for Sunday against the Raptors. Minimal fantasy impact here, as Vonleh is not a part of Denver's regular rotation.
