CLEMSON — Quarterback Cade Klubnik and wide receiver Antonio Williams have been introduced to many NFL pros with Clemson football .
Klubnik and Williams received a different opportunity Thursday to hang out with a Major League Baseball player who did not attend Clemson: New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr.
Ahead of Clemson baseball beginning workouts for the 2025 season, the two players were at Doug Kingsmore Stadium to greet Chisholm, who ran routes and caught passes from Klubnik.
Klubnik and Williams are both returning for another season with Clemson to increase their NFL draft stock. Klubnik threw for 3,639 yards for 36 touchdowns and six interceptions in his second full season as the starting quarterback in 2024. His top receiver was Williams, who recorded 75 catches for 904 yards receiving and an ACC-leading 11 touchdowns.
For Chisholm, he has immersed himself in Clemson culture in a short amount of time. He attended Clemson basketball's game against Syracuse on Wednesday and worked out with the baseball team on Thursday. He became an honorary Clemson Tiger, wearing Clemson orange and regalia.
BEER: Erik Bakich says fans can buy beer at games in 2025. Why 'it's huge'
Clemson baseball announced a gear partnership with Absolutely Ridiculous, a brand Chisholm represents, on Thursday. The company will be the exclusive brand for the Tigers' fielding gloves, sliding mitts and glove loops.
