- Why did Alabama football QB Jalen Milroe apologize to wide receivers during LSU win?
Alabama football wide receivers didn't care that they weren't stuffing the stat sheet in Death Valley.
Freshman phenom Ryan Williams had 29 yards on two catches in the 42-13 win over LSU . Kendrick Law and CJ Dippre combined for three catches and 22 yards. Leading the way in the air was running back Jam Miller with five catches on 50 yards.
Meanwhile, Jalen Milroe was running the show on the ground, and Williams told media during Tuesday press conferences that the corps had no problem watching Alabama 's QB1 let everyone know that he's not just a "baller."
He's still a Heisman candidate, too.

Saturday wasn't about the circus catches and wowing with deep shots downfield. The Crimson Tide (7-2, 4-2) totaled 109 receiving yards and didn't have a single touchdown catch across six receivers.
Milroe, a redshirt junior, averaged 15.4 yards per carry on 12 touches for 185 yards with a long run of 72, only attempting 18 passes on the night.
Last November, Milroe recorded a career-high four rushing touchdowns at LSU (6-3, 3-2). On Saturday, he did it again, and told receivers on the sideline, "I'm sorry," as it all went down, according to Williams.
Williams recalled motioning to the scoreboard and giving a response fitting for a 17 year-old:
"Like, bro, look at your stats."
Alabama receivers "didn't care," Williams said. They were just grateful to be winning.
"We're just proud and happy for him and glad to be part of this team," Williams continued.
Milroe, Williams and Alabama football return to Bryant-Denny Stadium for action on Saturday against Mercer with a 1 p.m. kickoff.
