- Why playing in ReliaQuest Bowl is a 'no-brainer' for Alabama football OG Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker's status for the ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan was never in question.
The Alabama football left guard called playing in the game "a no-brainer."
"I feel like everything I've poured into this team, everything that this team is pouring into me, like it will be very hypocritical of me not to play," Booker said. "And it's just a love that I have for this place and (a) love that I have for the game of football. If I have another opportunity to play this game, I'm definitely going to take advantage of it. So playing this game was a no-brainer for me."
Booker was named first-team All-SEC and multiple second-team All-American honors from the Associated Press, Walter Camp, the Football Writers Association of America, the Sporting News and the American Football Coaches Association.
Booker has appeared on many NFL draft boards, but is not sharing if he's made a decision to forgo his final season of collegiate eligibility.
"I haven't yet," Booker said. "I'm just focused on going down to Tampa and getting a victory."
Booker is focused on one thing: continuing a streak of 16-straight seasons of 10 wins or more.
"There's a lot of goals that we had set out in front of us before this year took place," Booker said. "And, obviously, we can't achieve most of those goals now. But one of the goals that is left to achieve is reaching 10 wins. So that's at the forefront of our minds right now, and going out to Tampa and getting a W."
Alabama will take on Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl at 11 a.m. Dec. 31.
