A Renowned British Hi-Fi Brand’s New Entry-Level Bookshelf Speakers Just Got More Affordable

Last summer, Monitor Audio introduced the Bronze Series 7G , the seventh generation of its acclaimed Bronze Series, which is the brand's most affordable loudspeaker range. At the time, it claimed the range aimed to set "a new benchmark for entry-level performance."
The range consists of five different models that can be configured in either stereo or home theater setups. There's one bookshelf speaker, one floorstanding speaker, one center channel, one on-wall speaker and a pair of Dolby Atmos modules (designed to be placed on top of the bookshelf or floorstanding speakers).
The one pair of bookshelf speakers in the range, the Bronze 50 7G , normally costs $849. But right, you can snag them for much less.

The Bronze 50 7G is a pair of passive two-way bookshelf speakers that feature a 1-inch gold dome tweeter and a 6-inch bass-mid driver.
Like the rest of the range, the speaker's drivers have been integrated with the latest generation of the brand's C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminum Magnesium) technology, which ensures high efficiency and low distortion, and ultimately helps the speaker sound as accurate as possible.

Just introduced last summer
Compared to their predecessors, Monitor Audio has given its new Bronze Series numerous under-the-hood upgrades, too, including improved crossovers, a more rigid cabinet design and more robust feet, the latter of which are evolved from its higher-end Silver Series 7G range.
Additionally, the big aesthetic difference is that the tweeter is now protected by an aluminum-etched hexagonal grille. According to the brand, it's "a focal point of the design, giving it a jewel-like quality."

As far as power, the Bronze 50 7G are fairly easy to drive bookshelf speakers. They require an amplifier that can push between 30 and 100 watts into 8 ohms, which a variety of today's integrated amplifiers and streaming amplifiers should be able to handle.
Monitor offers the Bronze 50 7G in three finishes: black, white or walnut.

Monitor Audio's Bronze 50 7G bookshelf speakers typically retail for $849/pair, but numerous retailers (most notably, Crutchfield) are currently discounting them for $649/pair.
